Shirley’s Trees 10x11 watercolor and ink
Sketch by Shirley Trevena
I continue to study the two books that I have by Shirley Trevena. Her work is very “watercolory”. By that I mean: transparent and free flowing, yet very rich in color, good design and creative. It is representational, however I would not call it realism. So some times when I need some inspiration, I ‘copy’ …. So here it is. The black is India Ink, used to make sure this had enough abstract qualities. What do you think about this one?
